Logistics & Internet Systems Ltd. (LIS) is producing a Supply Chain Execution (SCE) visibility exchange that goes beyond the four walls of a company. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, LIS is a specialist in the SCE space, boasting a large installed base in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, with some progress in the United States. Indeed, in relative terms LIS is one of the leading packs in Europe. Its Dispatcher SCE product suite contains a warehouse management core and a number of complementary components that deal with requirements such as slotting, resource and labour management, automation adapters, labelling, and proof of delivery. The most recent addition to the portfolio is the Dispatcher-VirtualView component. Like many others, this product is designed to allow visibility of inventory and order information for the extended supply chain by exploiting low-cost Internet access mechanisms and Extensible Markup Language (XML)-based adapters from participating server systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS).
