SAP and Partners Take SAP Banking to Where the Money Is: Global Banking Institutions

SAP America is going where the money is and teaming with Financial Technologies International (FTI) and Software Technologies Corporation (STC) for products, and Andersen Consulting for services, to produce an application suite targeting investment houses, capital markets companies, and global money managers. The technology suite includes the following applications:From SAP--A backbone of SAP role-based 4.0 financials and Business Information Warehouse (BW), with coming in late 2000From FTI--A rules-based engine, aptly called The Box, which provides the back-end accounting rules to differentiate, for example, a derivative from a forward hedge transaction. It builds real-time positions and overall exposure by currency, for example.From STC--the e*Gate business integration product
