Founded in 1946, Lowe's is a chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores, with headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina, U.S.A. In 1,700 stores throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, Lowe's serves 15 million customers a week. One of the world's largest home improvement chains and a Fortune 50 company, Lowe's has 200,000 employees. In 2008, revenue was $48.2 billion.
