Summary

The presentation maps the Gartner IT maturity model to the People Capability Maturity Model, and makes the general observation that some maturity models encourage senior management to move through the maturity levels as quickly as possible. This shouldn't be true. Where the enterprise should stop the maturity migration has to do with an organization's "comfort level" with investment, administrative "pain," organizational tolerance threshold for change, and overhead.
