Summary

Clients continue to request help with understanding cloud computing architecture and information. Unfortunately, the volume of hype and conflicting information slows down the adoption of cloud computing, but IT organizations are aware that implementing cloud services is complex. If cloud computing is to mature, IT organizations must develop a cloud adoption strategy -- a strategy that is built on a simple, easy-to-understand architecture. This Gartner cloud computing root template depicts the root diagram for cloud computing by breaking it into three separate tiers. Using this template, IT organizations can level-set cloud comprehension, understand its value, and devise an adoption strategy.
