  • To manage the proliferation of the tactically adopted and disjointed private and public PaaS and other cloud services, IT organizations will form a brokered hybrid-cloud services marketplace
  • The division of IT into providers and subscribers is transformative, as providers take responsibility for assembling, managing and sourcing the internally-advertised services and the choice between private and public sourcing becomes an optimization and availability decision
  • Subscribers to the internal hybrid-cloud services marketplace can span the entire organization, including the strategic IT projects and tactical LOB initiatives, thus bringing the entire business into the sphere of IT business
  • Using the internal hybrid-cloud brokerage and service marketplace, most IT projects will no longer design custom technology stacks, ending the 40-year custom-IT practice and putting IT on an industrial business foundation
