The objective of the Digital Consumer Computers and Communications spring survey was to complete interviews with four categories of 1998 Home Technology Scorecard households. Category I households were computer households that indicated an intent to purchase another personal computer. Category II households were noncomputer households that indicated an intent to purchase a personal computer. Category III households were noncomputer households with no intent to purchase a personal computer. Category IV households were computer households with no intent to purchase another personal compute. The survey asked respondents about PC equipment purchased or upgraded, home and work use, online and Internet services, and other information.
