Level Descriptions

  • Level 1: Search for a hero. Encourage the process of maturity-level improvement by supporting and seeking out individuals who willingly take the lead on projects.
  • Level 2: Investment in resource capacity management and training in the discipline and practice of planning project management will set the stage for maturing the organization.
  • Level 3: You can drive maturity by establishing defined roles and career paths for project, program and portfolio managers.
  • Level 4: You can improve the effectiveness of resource management by establishing centers of competency and linking training to career development.
  • Level 5: You can encourage continuous improvement with enhanced concentration on individual development.
