Gartner has forecast that total memory revenue will increase by just 7.2% during 2015, because of weak revenue growth of both DRAM and NAND precipitating only single-digit growth of 7.89% and 7.93%, respectively. The legacy memories sector is also expected to show a decline of −5.6%.
