Due to the sheer volume and variety of potential BPO opportunities, vendors in this emerging and high-growth market find themselves awash in opportunity. As a result, opportunity selection tends to give way to opportunism. While opportunism may appear beneficial in the short term, failing to apply a proactive robust opportunity selection process to the BPO market in the long term can diminish a vendor's ability to win and deliver deals. This Perspective defines an opportunity selection process that will help vendors identify the BPO opportunities that are actionable and appropriate for their company.
