Rack-mountable servers are those server platforms that are designed to be able to be housed in a rack cabinet meeting the EIA310D standards. The leading server vendors have adapted almost all of their servers to fit a rack-mountable form factor. This indicates the importance of this form factor, as Intel servers have become more and more prevalent in today's data center.
