How soon will your cabling infrastructure fail? Companies who have a cable infrastructure that cannot handle the application and device demands of everyday use will face crippling productivity and financial losses. The ways to prevent such catastrophe lie in proper cable management. Cable management is an integral part of configuration management for voice and data local-area networks (LANs). These hardware and software systems are designed to support, to varying degrees, the establishing and managing of a company's underlying cable systems. Although it is often associated with connectivity, configuration, or physical management, cable management does not encompass the full range of functionality that these technologies involve but rather focuses on tracking cabling and the passive devices to which it connects.
