Advanced Institutional Management Software, Inc. (AIMS), develops and markets the PHARMS pharmacy system information. The system consists of four modules (Inpatient, Outpatient, Inventory, and Billing) that can function as stand-alone systems or as an integrated system. The company's target markets include correctional facilities and behavioral healthcare facilities, substance abuse facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient clinics, acute care hospitals, and nursing homes. The PHARMS system is now available as a Windows-compliant GUI-based system, a character-based system, or a combination of both. The system operates on most NT, Unix, and AS/400 processors and is compliant with HL7. Interfaces to third-party applications and devices are provided on a custom basis. PHARMS meets federal minimum data set and reporting standards and satisfies JCAHO, HCFA, and OBRA requirements.
