Guardian iT Group is a leading supplier of business continuity and disaster recovery services in the U.K. and Europe. The vendor provides an extensive portfolio of services, ranging from the provision of standby computer facilities and alternative workplace centers, to the backup and archiving of computer data, remote disk mirroring service, facilities management of clients' computers, and business continuity consultancy services. Guardian iT continues to do well financially, with operating profits increasing by 30% for the year ended 31 December 1998 and several key European acquisitions completed in 1999. One of Guardian iT's key strengths is its wide-ranging support of hardware platforms. Expansion into Europe is already under way, in particular France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, and Switzerland.
