MEDITECH introduced its client/server-based Imaging and Therapeutic Services system in 1997 and has installed more than 124 systems since then. The client/server-based system provides a greater range of functions than is available in the company's Radiology Information System, a system that is based on MEDITECH's proprietary MAGIC architecture. Imaging and Therapeutic Services can be used as a stand-alone application, integrated with MEDITECH's enterprisewide Health Care Information System, or interfaced with other vendors' applications. The system can be interfaced to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). The system can also be used with MEDITECH's Internet Gateway and Enterprise Medical Record application.
