Harry Potter's latest release on July 8, 2000, put lots of U.S. retailers' merchandise management skills to the test. With tools from Retek, many could have handled the flood of orders from disparate channels (the Web, catalogs, store fronts, etc.) and coordinated distribution over the Web using the wizardry of the Retek Retail Solutions. Retek's sorcery is in its suite of software that handles the merchandise management cycle--providing decision support, predictive technology, supply chain management, and Web-based business-to-business solutions.
