Major, widespread asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) service rollouts are continuing in the U.S. ADSL full-rate Discrete MultiTone (DMT) remains the dominant digital subscriber line (DSL) technology worldwide, although this may change when global single-pair high bit-rate digital subscriber line (G.SHDSL) becomes available.
