Seagate Info 7.5 is an enterprise business intelligence suite (EBIS) that supports query, reporting, and OLAP analysis requirements of business end users, IS professionals, and developers, including the scheduling and distribution of reports. Seagate Info delivers Web integration, performance and scalability, and administration and deployment features. It is a multitier system, which supports distributed users across an enterprise. By simply adding new machines to a cluster, the back-end servers can be scaled up to support more user connections within the existing environment. It provides seven different client desktops, which of course brings into question whether the functionality provided is consistent across these desktops. Seagate Analysis, which is integrated into Seagate Info 7.5, supports query, reporting, and OLAP analysis via the Web or in client/server mode. Info 7.5's report designer uses Crystal Reports 8.0 technology. The incorporation of the Crystal Reports 8.0 print engine and file format is a major aspect of the Info 7.5 release, because it results in improved performance.
