Nortel Networks' competitive offering in the high-end remote access concentrator market is the CVX 1800 Multi-Service Access Switch. Designed specifically for carriers and service providers, the CVX 1800's port density, universal port capabilities, and scalability can result in operational cost savings while providing additional revenue streams through wholesale services. The CVX 1800 supports high-performance dial, Voice over IP (VoIP), Fax over IP (FoIP), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), tandem, and wholesale services. With support for over 2,688 modems per chassis and the ability to stack four chassis in a 7-foot telecommunications rack, the CVX 1800 Multi-Service Access Switch provides up to 10,752 modems per rack.
