As the second-largest software maker--and with its focus on applications for the Internet--Oracle has emerged as a linchpin in the world of e-business. Its e-business focus is of particular interest to Oracle's solid customer base within the retail industry, especially with the thrust of the retail industry onto the Internet. Oracle's answer for retailers is the Oracle E-Business Suite for Retail. The E-Business Suite for Retail provides retailers with a combination of key features from the overall E-Business Suite along with retail-specific applications from Oracle partners Tomax, Retek, JDA, Essentus, and Armature.
