Apogee Networks, Cisco Team to Deliver Billing and Rating Applications for Integrated Content Usage Based Billing

Apogee Networks announced today that Cisco Systems has formulated a new alliance combining efforts to jointly integrate Apogee Network's NetCountant Billing with the Cisco content aware switch products. Cisco has also made an equity investment in Apogee Networks. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The two companies plan to jointly develop, market and sell new bundled offerings to Cisco's service provider and enterprise customer base. Joint management teams have been created to develop product integration plans, product requirements and standard definitions.
