Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), provides payroll, human resources, and tax services to companies worldwide. The vendor began doing business in 1949 and since then has grown to provide services for more than 500,000 customers. ADP's business is divided into four units: Employer Services, Claims Services, Dealer Services, and Brokerage Services. The Employer Services division handles all ventures concerning human resources and payroll. The National Accounts Services, which is a sector of Employer Services, markets ADP Enterprise Human Resources Management System (HRMS), the vendor's flagship offering, to companies with 1,000+ employees.
