Implementing a data warehouse and ensuring data quality are daunting challenges -- ones that are often underestimated and require planning and resources, which are increasingly complicated due to the agility required in today's e-business world. The advent of CRM and other customer- and supplier-facing initiatives has increased the visibility of data quality issues both inside and outside the enterprise. A number of technology decisions need to be made, and the right decision can reduce the challenges, which can dramatically increase the chance of success.
