Summary

CEB has identified twelve competencies that are important for information security staff performance, including four that are particularly important: Business Results Orientation, Decision-Making, Influence, and Organizational Awareness. Building the security team's practical understanding of these competencies—especially how they should demonstrate the competencies in their day-to-day work—will enable security leaders to drive immediate and impactful changes in staff performance.
