Owing to stringent international data privacy laws and reputational risk due to heightened public concerns about data loss and identity theft, organizations are increasingly concerned about data privacy. In the past year, more than 35% of CISOs reported taking on the responsibility of overseeing privacy strategy and privacy breach response programs. However, with existing information security and compliance frameworks overlapping, CISOs need a consistent approach to privacy that aligns with the organization's broader processes and controls.
