Good fact-based decisions are made by ‘Informed Skeptics’ – those who effectively balance judgment and data analysis, possess strong analytic skills, and listen to others' opinions about analysis but are willing to dissent. However, less than 40% employees possess these capabilities. This study provides a collection of tactics used by heads of Finance, Marketing, and R&D to foster Informed Skepticism and improve personal and staff capability to make better decisions.
