As organizations rely on various third parties, and those third parties engage with other enterprises, the complexity of resulting interconnections requires Information Security to not only recognize that third-party ecosystems exist but to also address the emergent risks such ecosystems pose. These emergent risks also require Security to work with a broader array of partners, as no single third party is able to mitigate the risks.
