Finding and hiring qualified information security talent is harder than ever. A dearth of qualified applicants has led to fierce competition for quality security talent and long wait times to fill open positions—it takes more than four months, on average, to fill open positions in Information Security. To address CISOs' hiring challenges, CEB Information Risk launched the 2014 Information Security Talent Survey. This report highlights key compensation and employee background benchmarks from our survey of more than 350 information security staff, enabling CISOs to make the most informed recruiting and hiring decisions for their organizations.
