Ernst and Young reorganized its EA function to avoid the common pitfalls of murky mandates and reactive engagement. The EA group now offers a clear and consumable set of EA services designed to maximize consumer satisfaction and EA's capabilities. This case study recommends offering a limited set of EA services that are designed for ease of consumption, building a holistic set of services that reinforce and inform one another, and resoucring EA teams according to the role they will play in delivering these EA services.
