Summary

Organizations recognize that effective crisis management planning helps avoid millions of dollars in legal fees, lost customers, and lasting brand damage. Although many organizations have a crisis management plan in place, they often struggle to apply it to cyber crisis situations. For example, organizations become paralyzed by communication deficits between stakeholders, fail to manage demand on information security staff, or struggle to respond to unanticipated crisis developments.
