Hosting special events can be a memorable way to promote the Information Security function at your organization. However, such events often require more resources and reach a smaller audience than other awareness tactics. This document provides questions to consider when deciding whether or not to plan a special event to promote the Information Security function. It also lists ideas for different types of special events if cost-benefit analysis concludes that hosting an event would be beneficial to your awareness campaign.
