Summary

Long-term talent planning considerably improves the information security function's ability to flex in response to unexpected changes in the information security, business, and organizational environments. However, most CISOs only build talent forecasts—short-to medium-term predictions of specific talent needs that will arise as a result of vacancies in the function. This template enables CISOs to build a comprehensive strategic workforce plan that will make the information security function more able to fill open positions quickly, respond to external changes, and adapt to staff departures.
