The traditional role of a market insights professional has been changing over the last decade. In order to get insights acted upon by the business, market insights professional need to don the mantle of a political activist—standing up for their own work. In addition to basic skills, a higher level of ownership and activism is necessary to move ideas along and generate higher return on the work done by the function.
