Summary

Current IT operating models at most large organizations are not optimized to adapt to digitization. To better support a digital enterprise, IT organizations are adapting a new IT operating model, which for the infrastructure function involves implementing new team structures, roles, and handoffs. Together, these changes are helping infrastructure functions increase customer-centric focus, deliver improved speed and flexibility, and create fluid role boundaries.
