In this research, we answer the question "How do companies reallocate funding between IT product lines?" Regular reallocation of funding between IT product lines can follow either a top-down or a bottom-up approach. In the top-down approach, funding reallocation is based on business partners’ needs. In the bottom-up approach, reallocation is based on performance metrics such as usage, adoption, and product line value.
