Tentpole programming took another hit with the 88th Academy Awards (2016), which fell to an eight-year low in overall audience size and a 20-year low in the 18- to 49-year-old target demographic. Brands struggle to achieve a significant digital echo from premium TV spots and capitalize on the exposure.
