Our research has revealed six competencies that are critical to procurement success, particularly when it comes to driving strategic procurement performance. These competencies were identified through a factor analysis of survey responses from 925 procurement staff. The competencies are behavioral, and are a reflection of how individuals apply knowledge and skills on the job.
