Worldwide semiconductor wafer fab capacity is expected to grow 4.6% in 2019, followed by a 6.1% increase in 2020. Record investment in new facilities for memory and logic in 2017 and 2018 is fueling the increase. Capacity growth is expected to retreat to 5.0% and 4.2% in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
