Procurement organizations that ignore their internal relationships will find themselves unable to deliver on many of their strategic projects and savings goals. Specifically, our research finds that approximately 8% of savings can be lost when poor alignment with business partners results in their resistance to participate in spend agreements they believe are not in their best interest. Additionally, 6% of savings can be lost due to business partner noncompliance after the contract is already in place.
