Summary
This summary contains input from thirty members regarding alignment between their IT organizations and their business partners. We begin this summary by examining members' alliances with business partners and current and future IT operating models. We then look at associates with IT responsibilities reporting through lines of business, IT functions reporting to business roles, and how members' central IT organizations maintain visibility into IT decision making outside IT. Next, we focus on IT spend, including how much of members' IT spend is outside of IT, how members' recover costs from the business, and what types of IT spend the lines of business control. We close with lessons members have learned as their IT organizations have evolved their alliances and structures for partnering with the business.
