Over the past few years it seems as though everything in supply chain needs to be “agile.” However, can agility be defined and is it obtainable? Or is it just another buzzword? Sometimes agility is perceived as the panacea to all possible supply chain issues. This report explores the term “agile” in the context of supply chain management. We discuss what agility means for businesses and illustrate how supply chains are dealing with this expectation.
