Summary

GE Transportation uses what it calls “digital thread” to better connect and integrate different business functions throughout the organization. The first step for GE Transportation involved standardizing and using a simple set of applications that do these functions. Next, it built integrations and interfaces between them. GE Transportation needed to simplify, but it also needed to identify data gaps.
