PepsiCo implemented demand sensing in support of its digital value chain vision. It uses demand sensing to create a more accurate near-term forecast of demand and enables a faster response to events such as market shifts, weather changes, promotions and consumer buying behaviors. PepsiCo has achieved a reduction in forecast error for near-term (0-6 week) planning where the demand sensing solution has been deployed.
