QSR CIOs who do not take Covid-19 into account and restructure their operating model are facing an existential crisis.
Pandemics aren’t your usual business disruption. COVID-19, however, is now one of a slew of impacts forcing QSRs to radically restructure their business and operating models. In the coming months and even years, unprepared chains/brands will fall under the weight of initial, secondary and tertiary impacts, similar to the Covid-19 impacts of today.
Beyond maintaining business continuity through the immediate crisis, QSR CIOs must respond by helping the business be resilient against future disruptions. Significantly, in the context of deglobalization, creating competitive advantage for the long term is vital to both survive and thrive.
