This Consult the Board survey summary features inputs from 32 members regarding their strategies to improve employee engagement amid the increasing number of channels for internal communication. It describes the communication channels and formats that members use and their approaches for reducing employees’ challenges in consuming information.
What are members’ approaches in managing employee communication flow and channels to reduce information fatigue?
Most respondents (26 of 32, or 81%) have established practices to improve communications on digital- and technology-related topics based on employee feedback.
The most popular communication channels among respondents are the intranet (24 of 26, or 92%) and emails (23 respondents, or 88%).
To reduce employees’ challenges in consuming the information, five (of 21) respondents each curate messages as per audience, make information more accessible and searchable, and highlight sources of information.
