Audit departments most commonly use an audit management system (AMS) for workpaper documentation, automated issue tracking and reporting.
TeamMate, AuditBoard and RSA Archer are the top-three most commonly used AMS software tools, according to the Gartner Audit Budget & Efficiency Benchmark (August 2022). TeamMate and AuditBoard are each used by 21% of audit departments.
AuditBoard has the highest reported satisfaction level among AMS tools.
Audit departments vary in how they use their AMS. TeamMate tied for the most widely used AMS, yet it is the least used system for audit reporting.
