This Consult the Board survey summary features inputs from 12 members regarding their approaches to establishing business process design principles. It examines members’ principles in practice, approaches to drive awareness of and compliance with the principles, and the impact of these principles.
What are members' approaches to establishing business process design principles and what positive outcomes have they seen by applying these principles?
Two-thirds of the respondents (8 of 12) have established business process design principles; these are largely around creating a simple and understandable, holistic, and user-centric process design.
Most respondents (4 of 6) drive awareness of the principles through regular meetings, presentations, or workshops and ensure user compliance through periodic audits, reviews, or follow-ups.
For the majority of respondents (4 of 6), the principles improve process quality, integration, and execution.
