This Consult the Board survey summary features inputs from 18 Information Risk Management Research Board members regarding the operational metrics program in their security organizations. It examines the automation level of the operational metrics program, the reporting data format, and the methods to pull data into reports.
How are members reporting key operational metrics?
The majority of respondents (14 of 18, or 78%) have introduced varying degrees of automation in their operational metrics program.
Half of the respondents (9 of 18, or 50%) use interactive dashboards for data reporting.
Nearly 40% of the respondents (7 of 18) have automated data sources and/or directly pull from the source for data reporting.
A slight majority of the respondents (10 of 18, or 56%) input more than 30 data sources into their metric reports.
