This Consult the Board survey summary features perspectives from 50 Gartner Research Board for Global CIOs, Data and Analytics Research Board, and Technology Infrastructure Research Board members regarding their strategies to encourage employees to return to the office. It discusses members’ work-from-office initiatives, such as in-office timings and employee benefits. The survey also describes members’ best practices for increasing employee engagement.
What strategies have members implemented to achieve a successful return to the office?
More than 40% of the respondents (22 of 50, or 44%) have mandated compliance, wherein, most or all employees are required to work in the office.
Slightly more than three-fourths of the respondents (17 of 22, or 77%) require employees to work from the office three days a week.
To encourage employees to return to the office, five respondents each (of 12) are following a flexible work model, planning in-person meetings and events, and investing in workspace upgrades.
