Cloud adoption is a multiyear process that often starts with a cloud architect. The cloud architect leads a cloud center of excellence (CCOE), or other cloud enterprise architecture function, that spreads expertise through the organization and empowers IT and the business to adopt cloud services through governance, brokerage and transformation.
Cloud architects should have a blend of technical, interpersonal and business skills. Above all, they need to have great collaboration and engagement skills to influence and connect with other architecture roles in the organization.
